Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud (OTAC/TEE) is releasing Quarterly Updates and Maintenance Packs for Release 17 in 2018.

 

Quarterly Updates contain new and enhanced features, while Maintenance Pack contain bug fixes.  Please see below for the release schedule.  All dates are subject to change.

Requesting Quarterly Updates and Maintenance Packs

Quarterly updates and maintenance packs are not automatically applied.  In order to schedule a quarterly update or maintenance pack for your OTAC environments, please log a Service Request via My Oracle Support.

Oracle Talent Acquisition (TEE) 15B End of Life is effective September 30, 2018. All customers must upgrade to release 17 prior to this date when 15B will be decommissioned.

 

If you have not already done so, request your upgrade to release 17 as soon as possible by creating a Service Request via My Oracle Support. If your upgrade is not scheduled prior, your staging and production upgrades will be scheduled in July through September 2018. This is to ensure that your upgrade is complete prior to the 15B End of Life date for service continuity.

 


 

Many exciting features and critical functional and security fixes have been incorporated in the latest release.

 

  • Release readiness information such as the What's New, tutorials and other resources are available on Cloud Release Readiness.
  • Release documentation is available on Oracle Help Center.
  • Bug fix, technical configuration, and data dictionaries are available in My Oracle Support document 1496352.1.
  • Upgrade policies and release lifecycle status can be found in My Oracle Support document 1603034.1.


When you conduct testing on release 17 it is advisable to retest any open defects that you reported on 15B and prior. In many cases you will find that the defect has been resolved. If the issue is still reproducible, update the Service Request to inform Customer Support that the behavior still occurs in the current release, otherwise it is likely that the defect will be closed without being fixed.

 

 

 

Oracle is ending support for hiring on HCM Cloud Mobile (TAP) and Simplified Hiring Manager Experience (aka Hiring). Customers should migrate users to the modern and mobile ready Fluid Recruiting for hiring activities.

 

What is happening?

As of June 30, 2018, Oracle will be ending support for mobile hiring capabilities that are available through the HCM Cloud Mobile application on iOS and Android devices, as well as the Simplified Hiring Manager Experience, accessed through the Hiring icon in HCM Cloud.

 

Customers should plan to migrate to the hiring capabilities that are mobile-ready and now available (and will continue to be enhanced going forward) through Fluid Recruiting.

 

What is the impact?

This announcement impacts customers (stand alone and full suite customers) using Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud (OTAC - aka TEE) and are using mobile hiring capabilities through the iOS or Android HCM Cloud Mobile application (aka Tap) and customers using the Simplified Hiring Manager Experience (Hiring) through HCM Cloud.

 

On June 30, 2018, users of the HCM Cloud Mobile application on native iOS and Android applications and the Simplified Hiring Manager Experience (Hiring) through HCM Cloud, will no longer be able to perform hiring activities through these channels.

 

What are the options for customers who want to conduct mobile hiring activities?

Oracle is investing in a modern and mobile ready recruiting experience in OTAC (aka TEE), Fluid Recruiting.  The latest set of capabilities for Fluid Recruiting is available in the 17.2 quarterly update of OTAC (aka TEE).

 

Fluid Recruiting will enable customers to conduct key hiring activities on both mobile (e.g. tablets, phones) and desktop devices.

 

Customers who wish to provide their users with a mobile hiring experience should use Fluid Recruiting.  Customers can learn more about the latest set of capabilities available in Fluid Recruiting by clicking here.

 

What action should customers take?

Customers should start evaluating and adopting the modern and mobile ready Fluid Recruiting experience at the earliest possible opportunity.

 

Customers should prioritize transitioning users of the Mobile HCM and Simplified Hiring Manager Experience applications to Fluid Recruiting.  This will ensure these users are able to continue performing hiring tasks through mobile devices, without disruption.

 

To leverage the latest capabilities in Fluid Recruiting, customers should request to upgrade their OTAC zones to release 17 by logging a Service Request via My Oracle Support , and follow the Fluid Recruiting adoption guidelines here.

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service release 18A is set for February 16, 2018. This is a maintenance release that resolves issues reported by Learn customers. There are no new features in this release.

 

Release Notes are available for Learn releases and are posted on the Release Updates section of Customer Connect. Issues that are resolved by a release will have those issues added to the release notes of the release. Customers who have issues resolved by the 18A release are requested to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.
