The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service release 18A is set for February 16, 2018. This is a maintenance release that resolves issues reported by Learn customers. There are no new features in this release.

 

Release Notes are available for Learn releases and are posted on the Release Updates section of Customer Connect. Issues that are resolved by a release will have those issues added to the release notes of the release. Customers who have issues resolved by the 18A release are requested to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.

 

The next update will be the major feature release 18B, currently scheduled for May. Customers can view the latest release schedule through the Knowledge Management document in My Oracle Support: Oracle Learn Cloud Release Schedule (Doc ID 1983057.1)

Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud Release 17.2 Quarterly Update (OTAC/TEE) is available, effective January 8, 2018.  The release announcement on Cloud Customer Connect can be viewed here.  To help you prepare, we are pleased to announce the availability of the following release readiness materials and documentation:

Taleo Connect Client Release 17

Taleo Connect Client (TCC) Release 17 can be downloaded from Oracle Software Delivery Cloud here by searching on “Taleo Connect Client Application 17.0”, then selecting the applicable Linux or Microsoft Windows Platform.  When planning your TCC upgrade, it is required that OTAC/TEE is upgraded to 17.x before the TCC upgrade.  TCC 17 is certified on OTAC/TEE 17. The backward or forward compatibility of TCC is not certified.

 

 

Transport Layer Security 1.1 and 1.2 Protocols

Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud Release 17 supports TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 protocols as well as the current TLS 1.0 protocol.  If you use Taleo Connect Client (TCC) for integrations, it must be upgraded to 17.x no later than September 30, 2018, to ensure service continuity and support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.  For more information on the transition to TLS 1.1 and 1.2, please see the Cloud Customer Connect announcement here.

 

 

Your Action:  Please log a Service Request via My Oracle Support to request your upgrade to Release 17.  Timing of upgrade scheduling will vary by customer based on technical dependencies.  Once upgrade SR is logged, you will be advised of the appropriate upgrade date(s) for your environment(s).

OracleLearnCloud.jpgThere is a maintenance release, 17B.1, confirmed for Production release on September 22, 2017. This release has been deployed to customer Staging sites for testing and review.

 

You can follow all Learn release announcements when they are posted in Customer Connect (http://appsconnect.oracle.com) and opt to receive email updates whenever the Learn release announcement is updated. 

 

  Release Notes are available and posted on the Release Updates section of Customer Connect. You can also view the release notes in the Knowledge Management document Oracle Learn Cloud Release 17B (Doc ID 2288209.1). Details about the Learn Release schedule can be viewed in the document Oracle Learn Cloud Release Schedule (Doc ID 1983057.1).

OracleLearnCloud.jpgThe 17B Learn release was successfully deployed on July 21, 2017. This was a major release that included enhancements for the Bulk Loader, Widget and BI Reporting functionality, also the LearnCenter Design Page feature. In addition, there were updates to the ILT Enrollment Control Panel, Recurring Learning Plans and the User REST API functionality.

 

There will be no maintenance release for Learn in the month of August. The next scheduled release is 17B.1, currently planned for September 22, 2017.

 

You can follow all Learn release announcements when they are posted in Customer Connect (http://appsconnect.oracle.com) and opt to receive email updates whenever the Learn release announcement is updated. 17B was a major release that also contains corrections and changes to resolve issues reported by customers and engineers. Customers who have had issues resolved by this release are asked to validate the issue is resolved through the Service Request in My Oracle Support (MOS).

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service maintenance release 17A.2 has been scheduled for June 30, 2017. This is a maintenance release that resolves issues reported by customers. The next release is feature release 17B, scheduled for a July 21st general release. More information regarding the new features will be provided in the July publication.

 

Customers who have issues resolved by the 17A.2 release are requested to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.

This is a maintenance release that resolves issues reported by customers. The next maintenance release is 17A.2, scheduled for a June 30th general release.

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service patch - 17A.0.2 has been scheduled for April 21, 2017. This is a critical fix for customers using an Integration. There is no other release for the month of April. The next maintenance release is 17A.1, scheduled for a May 12th general release.

 

Customers who have issues resolved by the 17A.0.2 patch release are requested to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service release 17A.0.1 was deployed on March.29th. This was a critical fix for customers who are getting the error message when using certain functions and services.

 

Customers who have issues resolved by the 17A.0.1 release are requested to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.

Critical functional and security fixes have been incorporated in the latest release. All customers that are not currently operating on 15B.2 or above are encouraged to request the latest release as soon as possible. 

 

Many exciting features have been incorporated in 15B which you can leverage.

 

Take Action

Request your upgrade to the latest release by creating a Service Request via My Oracle Support. If you are not operating on 15B.2 or higher by June 2017, your staging and production upgrades will be scheduled in July through September 2017. If you use Sourcing 15A, it will also be upgraded to the latest 15B release.

 

Please note that customers were notified via GCN-00244 sent February 15, 2017

End of Life for Oracle Talent Acquisition (TEE) 15A is effective September 30, 2017. All customers that are currently operating on 15A must upgrade to 15B prior to this date when 15A will be decommissioned.

Many exciting features have been incorporated in 15B which you can leverage.

 

Take Action

If you have not already scheduled your upgrade, request your upgrade by creating a Service Request via My Oracle Support. If your upgrade is not scheduled prior, your staging and production upgrades will be scheduled in July through September 2017. This is to ensure that your upgrade is complete prior to the 15A End of Life date and to ensure service continuity.

When you conduct testing on 15B it is advisable to retest any open defects that you reported on 15A and prior. In many cases you will find that the defect has been resolved. If the issue is still reproducible, update the Service Request to inform Customer Support that the behavior still occurs in the current release, otherwise it is likely that the defect will be closed without being fixed.

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service maintenance release 16C.2 is set for February 17, 2017. This is a maintenance release that resolves issues reported by Learn customers.

 

Release Notes are only available for major releases and are posted on the Release Updates section of Customer Connect. Issues that are resolved by a maintenance release will have those issues added to the release notes of the previous major feature release. Customers who have issues resolved by the 16C.2 release are requested to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.
