In continuing to address performance issues with Insight reporting, webserver maintenance will take place tonight, Wednesday, March 27th, 2013, between 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm EDT (UTC -4). This may include rebooting the Insight webservers. If a reboot is required, you will experience a brief outage to reporting.

The application will remain available at all times and no data will be lost.

To determine if this maintenance affects your install, look at the browser URL once you're logged into Eloqua. If your URL follows the format "secure.eloqua.com/..."  (note:  no number included in URL), then you will be affected.

Many of our users have been experiencing issues with Eloqua Insight since Monday morning (March 25).  The issues cannot be reproduced given a specific set of steps, but occur often enough to impact the user experience.  They range from:

  • slowness in the Insight window on initial load
  • slowness in navigating the Insight UI
  • reports timing out when run
  • receiving an error screen and needing to close the Insight window and re-open it
  • not seeing the most recent data in Insight for activities that occurred in the past few days (note: this item will be resolved in a service pack tonight)

All other issues related to slowness, timeouts and errors above are being worked on with the utmost priority by our development and operations teams. We will provide an update to this post on the status of Eloqua Insight today at 4pm EDT (UTC -4).  Be assured that we are working as fast as we can to resolve this issue.

We continue to work on the issue, and will provide a more comprehensive update tomorrow morning.

**Update**

Thursday, March 28th, 10:30 am EDT (UTC -4)

We made some hardware changes last night, and Insight performance seems to have improved, but the problem is not fully resolved.  We continue to work on the issue, and will provide updates to this post as they become available.

====================================================

**Update**

Tuesday, April 2nd, 10:30 am EDT (UTC -5)

The hardware changes that we made have improved performance in production.  You may still notice slowness at times and some clients have reported errors when clicking on the Insight icon to launch the Insight window.  If you experience an error logging into Insight, please close the window and fully quit your browser.  Restart the browser and log back into Eloqua and then Insight.  If that does not resolve the issue, please contact support.

We are continuing to work on these issues and will provide another update when it is available.

====================================================

**Update**

Monday, April 8th, 5:20 pm EDT (UTC -5)

We have temporarily reverted some of the improvements we made so that we can further investigate the main underlying issue. As such, you may see some performance degradation over the next couple of days.

By Thursday, April 11th, at the latest, we will reintroduce the improvements while we tackle the underlying issue.

Please be assured that we continue to address this issue as a top priority and will provide another update when available.

**Update**

Wednesday, April 10th, 7:00 pm EDT (UTC -5)

At 4:45 pm EDT today, we reintroduced the improvements we had made over the past 2 weeks.

There was an immediate improvement in Insight performance.

Please be assured that we continue to work on the core underlying issue as a top priority and will provide another update when available.

====================================================

In continuing to address performance issues with Insight reporting, webserver maintenance will take place on Monday, March 25th, 2013, between 9:00 and 9:10 pm EDT (UTC -4). This will include rebooting the Insight webservers, so reporting services will be unavailable for approximately 10 minutes.

The application will remain available at all times and no data will be lost.

To determine if this maintenance affects your install, look at the browser URL once you're logged into Eloqua. If your URL follows the format "secure.eloqua.com/..."  (note:  no number included in URL), and you're on E10, then you will be affected.

In continuing to address performance issues with Insight reporting, webserver maintenance will take place on Sunday, March 24th, 2013, between 9:00am and 11:30am EDT (UTC -4). This may include rebooting the Insight webservers. If a reboot is required, a very brief outage to reporting will occur.

The application will remain available at all times and no data will be lost.

To determine if this maintenance affects your install, look at the browser URL once you're logged into Eloqua. If your URL follows the format "secure.eloqua.com/..."  (note:  no number included in URL), then you will be affected.

Some clients are experiencing delays in email deployment. We are working on a solution to clear the email queue as quickly as possible.

We will provide another update once the queue starts to clear.

====================================================

**Update**

Thursday, March 21st, 3:30 pm EDT (UTC -4)

We implemented a change about an hour ago that is quickly working through the backlog of waiting emails. The queue is draining fairly rapidly, so delays now are much shorter.

Another update will be provided once the queue has completely emptied.

=======================================

**Update**

Thursday, March 21st, 6:20 pm EDT (UTC -4)

The queue has almost completely cleared. Emails will be sending at a normal rate for clients who were affected by this delay.

=======================================

Eloqua will be performing scheduled maintenance on Sunday, March 17th, between 6:00 am and 11:00 am EDT (UTC -4)

While the application may remain accessible during this time, some features such as file and image uploads, program builder and emails will be paused as they are upgraded. Inbound activity, such as page views and email responses, will not be captured for a period during the maintenance. There will also be intermittent downtime during this window. You are advised to avoid using the application during this window.

In continuing to address performance issues with Insight reporting, maintenance will take place tonight, Friday, March 15th, 2013, between 8:30 and 9:00 pm EDT (UTC -4).

This maintenance will include rebooting the Insight webservers to enable additional application logging.

This will only affect access to reporting functionality during a 10-15 minute period during the maintenance window. The application will remain available and no data will be lost.

To determine if this maintenance affects your install, look at the browser URL once you're logged into Eloqua. If your URL follows the format "secure.eloqua.com/..."  (note:  no number included in URL), then you will be affected.

Insight maintenance concluded with no reported incidents.

=======================================

In continuing to address performance issues with Insight reporting, maintenance will take place tonight, Thursday, March 14th, 2013, between 9 and 9:30 pm EDT (UTC -4).

This will only affect access to reporting functionality for a short period during the maintenance window. The application will remain available and no data will be lost.

====================================

**Update**

Thursday, March 14th, 10:15 pm EDT (UTC -4)

Insight maintenance concluded at 9:38 pm EDT.

This maintenance included rebooting the Insight web servers to adjust the session time-out threshold to two hours. This brings Insight into parity with the Eloqua application, which also has a two hour time-out, and will reduce the number of open connections to these servers (which is performance impacting).

=======================================

To address performance issues with Insight reporting, maintenance will take place tonight, Thursday, March 7th, 2013, from 11pm to Midnight EST (UTC -5).

This will only affect access to reporting functionality during the maintenance period. The application will remain available, and no data will be lost. Reporting services will be unavailable for up to one hour.

=======================================

**Update**

Friday, March 8, 2:15 pm EST (UTC -5)

We were able to work on the issue without disrupting the service. There was zero downtime experienced in Insight reporting.

=======================================

An issue with a file server was causing some images not to display, and the inability to upload new images.

The issue has now been resolved. Images were impacted for approximately 25 minutes.

More details will be provided shortly.

=======================================

**Update**

6:35 pm EST

A Severity 2 system issue caused the following functions to be effected between approximately 5:40pm and 6:09pm EST (UTC -5):

Data imports/exports and uploading of images/web content would be unable to complete. Images and web content not cached would result in a broken link. Analysis shows that 0.1% of total requests failed.
