Summary:

With the recent rollout of the 476 release, a critical issue was uncovered on Tuesday December 15th, 2015 impacting customers on POD2, POD3, POD6, and POD7.  The issue affected contacts in the campaign canvas, causing some contacts to get stuck in steps on the canvas.  A hot fix to address the issue was applied on Friday December 18th, 2015 to all the affected Pods. Clients that are highly impacted by this issue will be contacted directly. Going forward, no additional contacts will get stuck in steps as a result of the issue.

 

Oracle Eloqua plans to address this by unlocking the stuck contacts starting January 8th, 2016:

 

  • If you wish to manually remove, or move the steps before this date, you are free to do so. Should you require any additional assistance performing a manual move of contacts, please contact the Oracle Eloqua Support team.
  • If you would like to know how many contacts are stuck in your organization's campaigns / affected steps, please contact your Oracle Cloud Support Team, or your Technical Account Manager if you are an Oracle Cloud Priority Service Customer.

 

Unless we hear from you, we will proceed with allowing your contacts to move through campaigns starting Friday, January 8th, 2016.

Oracle Eloqua has executed the script to unlock all stuck contacts on all affected PODS.  All previously stuck contacts will move through campaign canvas.



Our Cloud Operations Team is currently investigating an incident where landing pages may default to Network Solutions renewal domain. At this time, we are unable to provide an ETA for this incident, but we will continue to provide updates. The next scheduled update will be at approximately 5:30 pm UTC.

This incident is now resolved


After analysis by our support teams, it was determined that the incident resulted from a standard operating procedure error. The production use of your Eloqua service has been restored. The related standard operating procedure has been reviewed for improvement and for additional safeguards to avoid this issue in the future. Oracle is also reviewing the monitoring and alerting procedures related to the incident. After these reviews are completed, additional appropriate corrective actions identified during the reviews will be taken.

Our Cloud Operations and Development Team have confirmed the incident is now resolved.  A separate posting will be made in regards to addressing the stuck contacts.


After analysis by our support teams, it was determined that the incident was the result of a software bug in Eloqua.  Information related to the incident has been passed on to our Product Engineering team.  Once Product Engineering confirms they have a resolution to the issue, it will be deployed to the Eloqua service.  No ETA for resolution is available at this time.  Oracle is also reviewing the monitoring, alerting and standard operating procedures related to the incident.  After these reviews are completed, additional appropriate corrective actions identified during the reviews will be taken, including deployment of the appropriate patch or release when available.
