Scheduled Maintenance Advisory: Sunday, June 5th, 2016

Eloqua will be performing a scheduled maintenance on Sunday, June 5th between 9 am and 3 pm UTC.

During portions of this maintenance period, the following will be unavailable:

  • Access to your Eloqua instance
  • Profiler and applications hosted at 'apps.p01.eloqua.com'

It is advised that during the time you do not attempt to access your Eloqua instance or Oracle Eloqua Apps. Offline form capturing will be enabled. Our System Status page on Topliners will be updated with progress during the maintenance.

In the 480 Release, which was recently deployed to your Eloqua instance, Oracle Eloqua introduced performance and stability improvements to the integration internal event queue services. These improvements are expected to reduce errors in your internal event queue, which processes activities and updates to your CRM system.

In order to deploy these performance and stability enhancements to your integration internal event service in safe and timely manner within the 480 Release maintenance window, Oracle Eloqua had to do a one-time archive of all completed internal events in the internal event history table.  As a result of this archiving event you will not be able to see the completed internal events in the Completed Internal Event History Report prior to the 480 Release. Please note that this history table currently has a retention policy of 30 days and is primarily used for troubleshooting purposes in the event that there is an error with an internal event prior to being processed to the external call queue.  There should be no impact to your use of the Eloqua application as a result.

This archiving only impacts completed internal events prior to the 480 release and will be kept for 30 days. The external call history table will be unaffected and Oracle Eloqua will continue to log completed internal events after the 480 release. Please note there is no impact to activities or updates previously sent to CRM or through the processed activity queue export.

If you have further questions or concerns about this archiving event, please contact your Oracle Cloud Support Team, or your Technical Account Manager if you are an Oracle Cloud Priority Service Customer.

FAQ:

Where is this internal event history used?

The internal event history is available in the CRM Integration Reporting under Setup > Integration > Status > Internal Event Queue Stats > Internal Events Completed

How long will Eloqua keep this completed internal event history archived?

Oracle Eloqua will keep the archived completed internal event history for 30 days, which is inline with the current 30 day retention of this table.

Will this impact my CRM Integration?

There should be no impact to your CRM Integration as a result of this archiving event.
