Oracle Eloqua Apps Release: Version 230

 

 

The Eloqua Apps 'Version 230' Release is on its way. Your Eloqua instance will be seeing the new enhancements on Friday, February 3rd, 2017.

 

The Version 230 rollout starting Friday, February 3rd, 2017.

 

The per pod schedule is as follows:

 

  • POD 1, 2, 3, 4: Saturday, February 4th from 1am to 6am UTC
  • POD 6: Friday, February 3rd at 9pm to Saturday, February 4th at 2am UTC
  • POD 7: Friday, February 3rd from 11am to 4pm UTC

 

Profiler and applications hosted at 'apps.p01.eloqua.com' (for Pod 1) ,'apps.p02.eloqua.com' (for Pod 2), etc will not be configurable during the maintenance window.

 

Please review the supporting resources available in the Topliners Release Resource Center and in the Recent Versions: What's New doc.

 

If you're not already an Eloqua Insider, you'll need to request access to that group before you can access the Release Resource Center.

 

To determine your POD:

Log into Eloqua as you normally would.

Look at the browser URL once you are logged in.

Your POD URL has the following format: secure.p01.eloqua for POD 1, secure.p02.eloqua.com for POD 2, etc.

**Update**

Development has identified the offending code that is causing this issue, and it will be prevented from re-occurring in the future, however a new OAuth tokens will need be issued.  In order to do this, you will need to re-install the app with the instructions provided below under "Solution".

 

Additionally, we will be reaching out to accounts that are currently experiencing this issue via email on Thursday January 19th, 2017.

Our Development Team is currently investigating an incident where clients on POD 2, 3, 6 and 7 may experience contacts being stuck (the status showing "Awaiting Action") while working in Program Builder or Canvas. This is due to OATH tokens unexpectedly expiring. The current workaround is to reinstall the app as Dev works on a long term fix.

 

Issue:

OAuth tokens are unexpectedly expiring and causing apps to not function.

 

Impact:

Contacts will be stuck in Program Builder or Canvas.

 

Solution:

Navigate to Apps, select your app, and click the Configure icon An image of the Settings menu icon, which is represented by a black cog., then select Reinstall on the corresponding App.

 

How to identify a stalled app?

Contacts will be stuck in App steps with the status of "Awaiting Action" for more than 30 minutes.
