Customers,

Of late the uptake of the BI Publisher based approval notifications has been gaining momentum. As you know Release 13 Update 18A enabled customers to use BI Publisher driven templates for their Requisition Email Notifications. Of late, as part of implementing this (do note there is an Opt-in that you need to enable for this feature to work for you), customers have been logging questions/bugs asking about why certain approvers are not able to approve such notifications.

Symptoms:

Usually, we notice that the customers who ask this have approvers for whom custom roles have been created. These users don't seem to have the standard out of the box Employee Abstract Role assigned to them.
