Global Find and Replace in Knowledge Advanced



We have "Global Find and Replace" feature under Knowledge Advanced->Authoring in Agent Desktop. When we search for a keyword or phrase using GFR, we see that the search results less number of articles, when compared to the searched results obtained from the Customer Portal Search feature. 

According to our observation, GFR does exact search of the entered keyword (FULL/Exact search), whereas the Customer Portal keyword search feature searches for all the combinations of words (synonyms) present in the entered search phrase. Hence GFR produces less number of articles in the result set.
