Error when searching for cases/incidents from the customer portal

Hi,

Our customers are getting an error when they try to search their case history: 

"Warning - There was a problem with the request and the action could not be completed."

I have submitted this issue to Oracle and they have advise to add the date filter, which we have done, however, it's not really helping as our customers are still getting the same message. 

Has anyone experienced the same issue and have any idea how to resolve?
