Incorrect TimeZone setup for the Users

Hi,

The following error is being logged into our system under Logs -> Error Logs.

 SQL Error: Unknown or incorrect time zone: 'GMT-1'
     Message: Invalid DB configuration...
   invalid connection time_zone - Etc/GMT-1

Also, once this error occurs the db connection is getting disconnected. 

Below error appears:

commit() called on disconnected DB API

 

Please let us know what are the significant reasons for which this error occurs. 

What are the corrective measures to be taken for avoiding this in future.
