Options to force cancel or complete a IN_PROGRESS trip in IoT FM

Scenario - 3rd Party Logistics provider(3PL)
Shipment interfaced between OTM and IoT FM. IoT FM mobile link sent to the 3PL Driver. Unfortunately, due to an unknown error, the trip was started using the IoT FM app and later is not accessible to the Driver any longer to complete the trip. Looking for potential options to force cancel or complete the trip in the application. This is impacting the overall health and metrics.

What have I tried so far?
1) When I try to cancel the trip from the application, I receive an error stating that the "Driver cannot be updated to a IN_PROGRESS trip"
