Add custom filter in grid widget

Hi all,

I have created a custom widget by extending it from reports/Grid standard widget. The report I am using has a custom filter on incident custom field which value I would like to pass as custom attribute from the page where widget is used. Is there a way to pass custom filter values without modifying the controller much?
