There have been a few questions recently about how auto sourcing works. Specifically, questions about how to prevent sourcing to a blanket agreement and at the other end of the spectrum why the system is not sourcing a blanket agreement as expected.

I am attempting to provide some clarity here on how this process works in the hope that this will help customers and support understand the intended design a bit better.

Concept:

All things being equal, when creating a requisition through the Enter Requisition Line process (and in exception scenarios using a Smart Form or Non Catalog Request process), our application will attempt to source any eligible blanket agreement. Goes without saying, the types of blanket agreement that can be sourced include:
