Create a Historical version of Answer while updating answer solution via custom script

I will be updating hundreds of articles using custom script but I need that historical version should be created so that I can see what has changed

I will be updating hundreds of articles using custom script but I need that historical version should be created so that I can see what has changed. I need to compare from previous version.

My custom script is updating the answers and it shows in audit log but it doesn't create a historical version to compare.

Is there any way to create a version before my scripts the answer solution.
