Return response from Hook

Hello Everyone,

I am working with costumer portal version 3.8.4 ( agent desktop 20 .

We have requirement to validate few of fields in incident before the incident created from customer portal so we are using pre_incident_create hook and trying to validate the fields and every thing is working fine, we are getting values on our custom model which we link in hook.php.

But we are getting issue when we returning error string from Hook.

 And because of this return message is not shown on ask a page as validation error
