I have a customer with an OSvC site with a handful of custom PII fields. These fields exist so that they can be exposed on workspaces, but my customer never wants their values actually saved to OSvC; they're handled by a workspace extension that grabs the values when the incident is saved and ships them off to a dedicated service the customer owns. When an incident is opened, the reverse happens - the extension reaches out to the service to get the appropriate values and populates them on the workspace.
