In today’s post we’ll be discussing an update that enables you to hide Salesforce connection and sync access from non-admins.

As an admin, you can prevent non-admin users from connecting to Salesforce and syncing their accounts. Contact Oracle Support if you want to make this change. When Oracle Support enables the option to restrict access, non-admin users can’t perform connect and sync tasks such as:

  • Connect to their Salesforce accounts from Oracle DataFox or Salesforce.
  • Sync a new or existing company to a Salesforce account.
  • Refresh a synced Salesforce account.

Organizations that would normally not allow all users to connect to their Salesforce accounts, and sync or refresh a new or existing account can benefit by enforcing the same restriction in DataFox. Opt for this feature if you want admins to be the only people who can create and sync new and existing accounts.
