Append Standard Text - Then Send Email Response shows response twice


I've create a Standard Text message to be used when an email comes into a specific mailbox.  My rule is appending this text to the response field and then sending the email response to the sender.  But the resulting email shows the response twice.  See sample below.  I must be missing something,  Looking for help to correct this.  Thanks.
