Logging new enhancement requests is a welcome notion. Many of you are using our Ideas Lab to good effect. But I do see very frequently a few key issues in logging these ideas. I am hoping these set of tips would help you navigate the Lab better and provide the due visibility the ideas require:

1. Business Requirement NOT Solution Outline:

When you log an idea, much as it is perhaps logical to do, please refrain from only suggesting the solution you want to see in the system. The true intent of logging an enhancement is to highlight your business requirements, use cases, examples and justification on what is missing - In other words, what makes for an effective idea is the WHAT not the HOW
