Problem:

The customer had configured Prohibit User Self Approval for Task Creator and had reassigned such approval to the Users' manager.

But the customer found that the reassignment to manager was not working.

Analysis and Resolution:

Development reviewed the task configuration details and confirmed the following as designed BPM behavior:

The details provided in this customer's configuration shows that the task is assigned to a role and not a user directly. Prohibit self approval applies to user based assignment where system can compare the user with list of users mentioned in prohibition list.
