Has anyone found a workaround for creating different Order Orchestration processes for Kit items

Per Oracle note "FA: SCM: OM: Can Different Orchestration Processes be Assigned to Lines on an Order? (Doc ID 2585154.1)", Different Orchestration Process can be assigned to the lines as long as the lines are not in a ship set or part of a configuration (ATO & PTO) & kits. Has anyone figured out a solution/workaround to separate the child items of a kit into separate Order Orchestration flows?
