Not possible to embed Sales Cloud within Service Cloud?

Is it not possible to customize Service Cloud to add a sub tab somewhere and refer sales Cloud within that using Browser Control feature?

Saw an Oracle Support note which says this is not supported from Service Cloud side and wasnt sure if that is correct as it would seem to be such a basic requirement.
