Lease Payment ended up in error for the payments which are not defined as RoU or Liability

We have two payment templates for Long Term and Short Term Deposit Payments which are not defined as RoU or Liability (both unchecked). When payment is processed for the leases, the payment generated from these templates got approved but error is shown for export to payables and thus invoice is not generated. What is the reason for that and how to correct the same?
