HOW TO: Execute FCCS Journals REST API Using Groovy On Demand Business Rule

This example depicts how Groovy can be leveraged to execute an FCCS Consolidation Journals Period Open/Close REST API that is not available using EPM Automate.

Refer to this post to create a new Connection named "Consolidation Application".
- Navigate to Hyperion Calculation Manager and create a new Groovy-based On Demand Rule. Name it SetPeriodStatus
- Set the values for variables Consolidation to "FCCS_Entity Input", Currency to "Entity Currency" and Entity to "FCCS_Global Assumptions". Make the variables Hidden
- Create a new Global variable named Action using Variable Designer. Set its Type to String
- Copy Groovy script provided in Code Snippet section, followed by Validate and Deploy
