Summary:

Receivables SOAP web services look strong and feature-rich compared to equivalent or missing REST web services. What is the risk in using SOAP in terms of a life-cycle/deprecation standpoint?

In particular Receivables Receipts and Credit Memo application etc are quite comprehensive in SOAP, but non-existent for REST when it comes to creating records vs getting records.

Does anyone know what Oracle's development plan for these SOAP web services is and whether they will be enhanced over time or ultimately replaced by REST web services?
