Assets - cost adjustment affects depreciation of the next month not the current month

the scenario is as follows:

1. Asset is in service for several months

2. There is a modernization done on the asset, which causes a change in the cost of the asset, registered as a cost adjustment

3. The change in cost should take effect on the month it is entered, however the depreciation amount should only be changed from the next month on-wards (current month should still be calculated from the original amount)

Jun-22: Asset Cost changes from 10000 -> 12000

Jun-22 Depreciation is calculated from 10000

Jul-22: Asset Cost = 12000

Jul-22 Depreciation is calculated from 12000

I tried using a specific depreciation method based on Rates + Basis Rule: Beginning Period Balance, but it did not provide the desired results.

Howdy, Stranger!
