Automatic Switch of Contact Primary Email based on Type of Contact

Scope

This article aims at walking through an Email Switcher PHP code that can be used to flip the emails of the university student based on the Type of Student.

Generally, when students journey through their enrolment lifecycle - from potential lead, prospective student, admissions candidate, course offer, admitted student, enrolled student & alumni, the type of the student changes. Here in this article, we are considering 3 phases/types of a student - 1) Prospect 2) Active Student 3) Alumni.

Overview

In most Universities, when a student moves through different phases(i.e., the type of student changes, Prospect→ Active Student→ Alumni) ), their contact details need to be changed. Most importantly this includes the email from a personal to a registered university email.
