Search in Database from BUI Extension

Summary:

I'm trying to obtain certain information from the Records of a Workspace, whatsoever, some records store "id" instead of more descriptive values. Is there a way to make a search/query or make a relation with these "id" fields to obtain a more descritive record/value?

Content (required):

I created an extension that collect information from the current workspace, for example in the incident workspace can retrieve contact information like street, city, etc.

But for some information, like country and province, the field is stored as "city_id" and "prov_id" therefore, when I request the information instead of "USA, Canada, etc" I end obtaining the numeric id
