Can I share parent members in the movement dimension?

Summary:

My client has 500+ movement members. I am building a Free Cash Flow hiearchy in addition to the standard indirect cash flow. Is it ok to share a parent member from the FCCS_CashFlow hiearchy into another alternate (Free Cash Flow) hierarchy?

Sharing the parent member would require less maintenance and also reduce the number of members in the Movement dimension. If we have to share base level members only, it will be more challenging to maintain. I have tested this and I do not have any performance issues. Some of my collegues were informed it is not leading practice to share parent movement members. However, per the admin guide, the only stipulation on sharing parent members is that we should not share parent members of custom dimensions.
