Summary:

Validation Rules are used in Data Forms to set a Balance Sheet tolerance of $123. When the Approvals is started, users can still 'Promote', 'Approve' and 'Sign Off' data - pretty much do anything with it but 'Lock' it. When users tried to lock it - they only received a simple 'Fail' notification with no explanation as to why it failed..

Hello,

We use Validation Rules are used in Data Forms to set a Balance Sheet tolerance of $123. The idea is that an entity should not be promoted if the value exceeds $123. I have tested both 'Update Promotional Path' and 'Do not Promote' options in the form's data validation rule builder and it seems that the 'Do not Promote' works only at the 'Lock' option when Approvals is run.

Howdy, Stranger!
