Summary:

Hello

We have this situation.

When we book CTO order, we can see 2 issue.

  1. Serial Number is getting updated only on Configuration Item asset
  2. Parent model has Sub Assembly Model item. But Asset hierarchy is not showing this child model.

Steps followed:

  1. CTO Order boked
  2. Configuration Item created (Start Item)
  3. Supply Order created
  4. PO Received to Warehouse (Please note - here we see only Star Item and no components). Serial Number captured on the Start Item.
  5. Order Shipped
  6. Installed base Assets created. When we query assets with SO#, we can see CTO Item, Configuration Item and its components.
  7. But Serial Number is available only on Configuration Item (Start Item) because during receiving, we could update SN only to that.
