Strategic Modeling v/s custom cube

Summary:

We are doing a feasibility check on using Strategic Modeling v/s custom BSO cube for our client. Client is from Mining industry and wants to do Long range planning for 40 years (at yearly level).

We tried to do a fit-gap analysis and the following are the observations while we were working on Strategic Modeling:

1. Client won't be using Out-of box hierarchies and reports.
2. We have a lot of accounts and the granularity which can still fit in 2-dimensional view but we would be restricted to using Memo accounts as our requirements don't fit in out of box hierarchies by creating sub accounts.
