OCI - Unable To Create Managed Instance Group In OSMS With Error "Tenancy is not known to OSMS."

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later

Linux x86-64


SYMPTOMS

While creating Managed Instances, the following error appears

Tenancy ocid1.tenancy.oc1..*tenancy_id* is not known to OSMS. Please check that all requirements to use OSMS have been satisfied. 
Once you have identified and corrected any problems, please try again.


CAUSE

Dynamic group was not created at compartment level and OSMS was not completely enabled on the OS.


SOLUTION

Dynamic groups do not support compartment inheritance. Be sure to specify the compartment OCIDs of the compartments within which the instances exist.
