How to add discard filters for subject and body

Summary:

I have a list of words supplied by our corporate communications team that are variations of curse words. They are asking that we not create an incident if the subject or body contains any of these words. The documentation says to enter each entry on a separate line. Do not add hard returns within this filter.  I'm not sure what a hard return is. Does this mean that I should not use the enter key to get to the next line? How do I get to the next line?
