Can pages that are built in the Redwood UX be personalized?

Current pages can be personalized using HCM Experience Design Studio or Page Composer. This can include hiding or exposing fields, making fields required, adding help text, etc. Can this be accomplished in the Redwood UX? Does it use the same tool set? What happens to personalizations in current forms when a page gets "Redwooded"?
