Descriptive Flex Field - Date and Sequential Transaction Count Value

Hi. In Oracle Fusion, I have a requirement to tally/track a sequential count of transactions each day. Is there a field that I can write to each day that can track the count for the day? I was thinking a descriptive flex field. Thanks!
