Javascript Desktop API (Custom Script) on browser control

Hi All,

I have created a custom script using Desktop Javascript API which checks for duplicates on a Custom Object and pops error messages accordingly. 

My requirement is to hide this browser control. When trying to do so using workspace rules the script itself is not executing.

So, my question is can we not hide the browser control when calling a custom script from it.
