Thread AccountID field when Entry Type is Customer

Hi All,

I have a requirement to copy Thread from a Child case to Parent case. When doing so by creating a new thread object(Child thread content) and attaching the same to parent thread, if the Entry type is customer AccountID attribute of thread is null (which cannot be set) and when saved the thread is getting saved as though thread was entered by Parent's Contact and not Child's Contact.

Anybody have faced such issue. How best can we tackle this.
