Multi-select responses (not ****) but words please

I posted this in the Feedback/Surveys topic - but it fits better here (and this is also a more popular topic)

I'm desperate - so any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to write a report for  feedback where the answer text is put in a comma separated list (not a csv, but literally a list of all the responses checked) for multi-select answers.  I have come a little ways, but only 1 response shows at this time, even if more than one checkbox in the "multi-select response" is selected.  The "out of the box" report shows *** or a check picture - but I need to have the answers written out in text and all responses listed.  This makes the data easier to manipulate in Excel's pivot tables.
