Screenpop CTI with plus symbol in URL

Hi there.
I have screenpop configured on my site and it's is working as it should. When a call comes in, I have a custom report that is called.
I'm using the filter: contacts.any_phone_raw with the operator "like"
My problem is, when a call comes in with a plus (+) symbol as the first character, the report fails to return any results. How can I customize this report and/or filter to account for (or accept) the + in the URL?
For example, A contact has the phone number +18005551212 in the database.
When testing screenpop, the report/record fails to return any results if this is the URL
