Allow Contacts to select the Date Format when logged into the Customer Portal

Dates in the Customer Portal are displaying with the US data format as that is what we use as our standard for our interface, which is MM/DD/YYYY. Is it possible to add “Date Format” the contacts preferences for the Customer Portal to allow them to select their date option?

For example:

MM/DD/YYYY
DD/MM/YYYY
