Can you create a DFF with validation type "Table" which returns only users with a specific role?

Summary:

On the Purchase order, we want to create a DFF that returns a list of users that have a specific role assigned. Currently we have configured the DFF to simply return all active users using a value set with validation type of "Table". See screenshot for current setup:
