Archiving - Performance Impact?

We are considering archiving incidents and understand RNT can run a script to archive 25K incidents at a time. We have a 24x7x365 operation and wanted to gather feedback on how much of a performance impact to the system if/when the initial script runs to archive incidents. We wish archive ~2 million incidents which will take about 80 days to complete, and do not want our EMEA/AP teams to suffer with a performance issue.

I would like comments from others who have gone through this initial process of archiving and if there was any noticeable impacts to performance seen by support agents/leads/managers who are on a 24x7 operation?
