Add more url parameters to canonical link on answer detail page

Hi,

I am looking to add more url parameters to the canonical link present in the answer detail page.

By going through code I came to know that this link is appending from rn:head_content tag and source code coming from core library SEO file using method getCanonicalAnswerURL.

I have amended this link for answer detail page by commenting out rn:head_content and by calling getCanonicalAnswerURL link in the template.

Is this the correct way of appraoch commenting out rn:head_content or can we directly amend canonical link without commenting rn:head_conent.
