Questions about capabilities & functionality of Answer Feedback

Support was apparently not qualified to answer these questions, so I'm hoping that maybe someone here will be able to. 

To my understanding, feedback provided on an article/Answer ID can either negatively or positively impact where the article falls in the search results based on what feedback choice is selected on the end user page for that article. Is this true?

If you have one article/Answer ID which is accessible via two separate interfaces (We'll say InterfaceA and InterfaceB), does feedback provided through InterfaceA impact anything (such as search results) on InterfaceB? Or does it only impact InterfaceA?
