What's new in Knowledge Foundation?

We are in the process of upgrading from August '14 to February '16 and curious if there are any new features with Knowledge Foundation. We currently use the Answers in the agent console to create our KBs but use another source to display our knowledge on our Customer Portal. We are evaluating going back to Knowledge Foundation on our Customer Portal and wanted to know if there are any new features to it in the last couple of years. I do see there is Knowledge Advanced, which I'm assuming is a paid add-on, but would like to know if others
