Evaluating moving from Knowledge Foundation to Knowledge Advanced

We have Knowledge Foundation but I'd love to switch to Advanced. I just have a few concerns and was hoping someone here has already encountered/solved similar issues!

  1. There is no product-category linking. We have a widget on our product detail pages that shows relevant FAQs but divides them by category... and we use p-c linking to only show the categories that are relevant to this product. Is there any alternative to this? The categories are used as menu links so they need to be relevant and specific for that product...
  2. We have a 'workaround' setup that we hope templates will solve... we use ConnectPHP to print answer solutions in a different page template. Our problem is that these are then indexed in search engines as the answers/detail url as well as the custom one ... so if you get to the answers/detail page in Google you see the wrong template. How far can you customise Advanced templates? Our structure is setup so that we have a banner, the answer solution (which includes lots of divs and videos) and then some related links - not necessarily from CP.
