Changing Document Type for Approved Documents of Record in Oracle HCM
Hi Community,
We have a requirement where we need to load all the Documents of Record (DOR) in bulk under a single Document Category. However, after submission and approval, we want to check the feasibility of changing the Document Type of these records.
From our initial research, we couldn't find any standard documentation explicitly stating whether this is possible. Some references suggest that once a document is approved, its type cannot be changed from the front end.
However, before concluding, we wanted to check with the community:
- Has anyone encountered a similar scenario?
- Is there a backend approach or workaround (such as HDL, REST API, or direct DB updates via Oracle SR) to modify the Document Type?
