function/impact "e-mail-notification" field within account

Hello,

be so kind and explain me the function/impact of the different selection values in the field "e-mail-notification" within the account.
In the help (http://documentation.custhelp.com/euf/assets/docs/may2017/olh/index_frames.html?contextId=add_staff_account)
I have found an insufficient explanation, in my opinion.

Has anybody further information or could explain me so that I can understand the issue?
