How to capture outbound failed emails

Hi,
How to capture outbound failed emails? We have a scenario when agent is creating contact, some times typo mistake is there in email address and agent sent response to customer, but customer did not receive response. Is there any place where we can capture this? the outbound mail is send to customer or not?
Here requirement is agent should notify if the mail was not sent successfully.
